Screening & Panel: ‘Freedom to Read: The Librarians’

Description

A collaboration between Olympic College Libraries and Kitsap Regional Library to celebrate the Library's 80-year anniversary. The event will explore personal stories of how the freedom to read impacts library work and seeks to educate and inspire the Kitsap community on the importance of literacy. A panel comprised of librarians and library-adjacent people with first-hand experience or interest in access to literacy will speak, followed by a screening of "The Librarians," a movie that focuses on the experience and challenges of librarianship.
